As Draco approached the building, his feeling of dread grew, though he wasn't sure why. It's not like Potter hadn't had plenty of opportunity to do something to him since the war. In fact, it was his testimony that had been instrumental in ensuring Draco's freedom. So why Draco felt uneasy about going to Potter's house tonight, he didn't know. And yet …

Why had he been summoned here anyway? The letter that arrived had simply said, "Malfoy, I'd appreciate if you'd join me for dinner Saturday night. We have a lot to discuss, and it's overdue. Eight o'clock, 12 Grimmauld Place, London."

Draco had sent an affirmative reply, but was not entirely comfortable with the idea, even now that he was here. Especially now that he was here. But he figured it was too late to turn back. Far be it for him to be rude by backing out at the last minute. With a hint of trepidation, he rang the bell.

Harry greeted him warmly and invited him in. It completely unnerved Draco.

"I didn't know whether to bring red or white," Draco blurted out, handing Harry two bottles of wine. "So I brought one of each."

"Thanks, but you didn't have to do that," Harry said, taking the bottles. "I invited you, remember?"

"Yes, Potter, but it is proper etiquette to bring your host something."

Leading Draco into the house and flashing him a smile he replied, "Well, far be it for me to mess with proper etiquette."

The evening progressed pleasantly. They fell, much to Draco's surprise, into easy conversation, and had much more in common than Draco would have thought. As that realization dawned, Draco suddenly felt exposed. "Potter?" he asked.

"You can call me Harry, you know." Again that smile. It was completely disarming how much it lit up the other man's face.

"What? Oh, alright ... Harry."

"Yes?" He had a bemused grin on his face now.

"Why did you invite me here, Harry? You said in your note that we had a lot to talk about, and that it's long overdue. Are you planning on keeping me in suspense all night?"

"All night?" Harry asked with a cheeky smirk. "So you're planning to stay all night, are you?"

"What?" Draco asked, caught completely off guard by the question. "That's not what I meant, Potter, and you know it!"

"I told you to call me Harry," he said, now laughing.

"You're taking the mickey out of me," Draco accused, not at all appreciating being laughed at.

"Yes, I am," Harry admitted. "But you could, you know." He closed the distance between them, then leaned in. "Stay all night, I mean," he purred in Draco's ear.

Draco looked up into Harry's face, into eyes that were filled with a lusty glow, causing Draco's stomach to flutter, and his heart to sing.

"Maybe next time," Draco ventured. He was suddenly very much hoping there would be a next time.

"Next time it is, then," Harry said, and he pulled Draco in for a kiss.
