Draco Malfoy - Getting Ahead
by Gabrielle Delacour, reporter
on location in Moselle, France

It was a surreal experience for me, sitting in the posh Moselle estate of local business tycoon, Draco Malfoy. Surrounding himself with only the best and most luxurious of things, he himself a work of art many say, Mr. Malfoy is not nearly as intimidating as one would believe, considering his business savvy.

Courteous to a fault, he greets our staff pleasantly, and takes his seat in what is commonly known as his throne. When asked about it, he merely replies, "Well, I am the king of my castle." Indeed, this 'king' is a jewel among businessmen, as he makes sure we are all at ease before we start. He adjusts himself to a more comfortable and reclining posture before telling us to carry on.

At one point during the interview, he begins to fidget. I wonder if we are running late, but no - we are moving along as planned, and still have another quarter of an hour booked with the man. His agitation becomes more apparent, as he begins answering questions with little more than a grumble or a gasp.

Bewildered, I ask if he is alright, moving to assist him, but he drops his pleasant demeanour, and warns me with a growl to stay back. Suddenly I am aware of what makes him such a formidable leader, a true force to be reckoned with. Doing as I was asked, I step back and carry on, all the while wondering just why he is so annoyed all of a sudden, and doing my best to ignore his obvious discomfort. Naturally, some sort of disorder, enchantment, spell, hex, or even substance abuse entered my mind.

Interview over, he waves us away, no longer interested in shaking our hands as he had done when we entered. Truth be told, I am still concerned for his well being, as he has beads of sweat rolling down his face by this time. "Are you alright?" I have to ask again.

"Yes. Fine. Get out," is his only reply.

Ever the opportunistic reporter, I return a few minutes later to retrieve a notepad I happen to have left behind. Ignoring the secretary's plea for me to wait, I defiantly stride back into the office unannounced. Well, to my utter delight, I see none other than one Harry Potter emerging from beneath Mr. Malfoy's desk, looking rather ... debauched.

Getting ahead, indeed.
