Help!
I have been researching some places to stay in Boston, and the reviews are really varying. Plus all the downtown hostels are expensive, but the cheap ones are a 25 minute bus/train ride away - has anyone stayed in any of these? Is it worth more to stay in town? Any recommendations? I was thinking the Hostelling International one, but wasn't sure. It'd be 3 nights right at the end of June. I have no money, so cheap is definitely good, but so is being in town. Dilemma! Hehe.
Also, we need to book somewhere in New York, I don't think we have any preferences. Any places to avoid / go to? Any hostel advice? Also - I really want to make sure I get in as much as possible haha! So if you've been I'd really love to hear what you enjoyed doing. We're staying for 2 nights at the beginning of July.
We've managed to organise somewhere to stay in DC, and San Diego, as well as a car between the two - and I've just booked travel from Toronto to Boston. Yay! I still need to organise Boston - NY (likely coach, there's some cute looking local ones for about same price as greyhound), NY - DC (no idea) and San Diego - LA (Train as is the quickest way. Does anyone know if there are luggage lockers at the train station or airport?).
Not bad though! Hehe. We are planning to organise somewhere to stay in Dallas / Fort Worth and Vegas along the way as well as finding places between the lot (as long as we don't sleep in the car, I'll be glad lol), so any further advice on cheap places there would be great too.
Thanks! *is all excited and nervous* It's less than 5 weeks now!
ETA: Do I need a visa waiver type form filled out before i get on the plane to canada? Like I would if i was flying to the US? Or is it done on the plane? Also - apparently if I go from canada to the US on land I don't need to fill out the form in advance, just do it there with a $6 fee. Does anyone know if this is true or know of anyone who might? I am assuming internal flights in the US are thereafter okay?
holidays,
