The Plan
The plan is: Choose your own adventure...
1) I get apprentice ship in Philly.
OUTCOME: I do whatever I can for money until August, then pack up and move to philly to have a hopefully awesome and throughly educational apprenticeship, at the end of which, I will be hireable, whereupon I hopefully move back to Chicago.
2) I don't get apprentice ship in Philly
OUTCOME: I don't move to Philly, because I didn't really want to move anyway. I stay in this apartment for next year, despite its flaws, with either Lauren if she's still in the country or Catherine, if she actually moves to Chicago.
The year after that, I move to the artist-in-residence building up the street and try that for a year. A studio, to be sure, but if it's nice enough the amenities will more than make up for it.
Oh, and find some sort of steady gainful employment. I want my body to work when I'm 30 and at my current rate with my current jobs, that's not going to happen. I'm going to pick longevity over a poorly paying inconsistent job that I don't enjoy half the time.
After that, I'll think about grad school/getting a union card if I'm still in the game.
