The Surreal Life
Today I ran into parents of a friend in Barnes and Noble who I haven't seen since eighth grade. I only sort of knew what was going on in her life, and I had a hard time even remembering her last name. It was so surreal. The double takes must have been amusing to watch. I recognzied her father by his voice, which is maybe even weirder. Anyhoo, it was kinda fun to reconnect with them/her through them.
In other news, I watched about four or five hours of a Biggest Loser Marathon today. I like watching that show because it gives me hope that if they can lose a me worth of weight, surely I can lose something. And at the same time, I have the satisfaction of knowing that I have never been as fat as those people were at the beginning. Egads.
Welcome to Winter Term, where I watch hordes of bad TV and post A LOT. Hopefully somewhere in there I will get some reading and other work done.
