Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup last night in dramatic fashion - the first team to win two in the salary cap era - to end a fairy tale season.

I'm so, so happy right now. Probably more on this later, but right now I'm just basking in the joy and amazement and the novelty of for once following a team in its Championship year.

Ahahaha, what? XDDD And thank youuuuu; it's still like a dream come true. Seriously, couldn't have gone better if it had been scripted. THEY SHOULD MAKE A MOVIE OUT OF THIS SEASON HONESTLY.

I saw someone tweet that the Hawks winning the Stanley Cup is going to make AO3 explode, so there's always that. XDDD Have you seen Goon btw? :)

Goon is about a sweet teddybear of a bouncer who watches a hockey game and then gets into a fistfight with a player, drawing attention to himself. He gets drafted as an enforcer and his main job is to protect a particularly promising but douchey player. It's a genuinely good and feel-good hockey film. Like, the main character can't skate or score to save his life, but he has a lot of feelings about team and he really fights to protect them. Idk, I'm bad at summaries, but I thought maybe you'd enjoy it?
