cherrypark said that she would try to watch some MBLAQ videos, and whether it was true or just some polite brushing off -- believe me, after trying to get everyone I knew to vote for MBLAQ every day for the past weekend, I am very well acquainted with the polite brush-off :(( -- HERE ARE SOME MBLAQ VIDS, may they make you love them as much as I love them:

god bless youtube! )

LOL chrissie, calling my bluff!!! (jk jk thank you for the compilation!) I watched them all except the Idol Army clip because I've seen a couple episodes from 2pm's season (+ the episode with MBLAQ when IU guested) and I can't stand the editing of the show. There's no need for dramatic cliff hangers and replays every 5 minutes. @_@ I've seen Joon and Mir before on other shows (Star Golden Bell, Maknae Rebellion), and Joon always struck me as v earnest - he worked especially hard for screentime, even if that meant having to resort to obvious scripts and gimmicks. As the most well-known member, I think he faces a lot of pressure to promote the group whenever he can.

I can totally see why you ship Joon/Thunder, keke. Thunder shamelessly fans the flames of Joon's vanity, and Joon falls for it hook line and sinker. /g My favorite is Seungho so far! I don't know, he has this normalcy around him, which is rare in kpop. Plus his piano skills...

How did you get into MBLAQ? :o

:p :p :p Thank you for watching~

Yeah, I'm not terribly fond of Idol Army, although the episode in which they do a 'hidden camera' prank on Joon was interesting if not entirely scripted, because it showcased a Joon who wasn't turned way up for the cameras, and he was pretty different -- a lot quieter, very professional, and, towards the end, a seething volcano of stress and frustration kept tamped down. XD; (IMO if it wasn't scripted it was cruel, but I've never liked shows like Punk'd, either.)

Joon I think works terribly hard. Aki actually put it best, IMO:

I remember reading that article about Joon!! I wonder what happened. :( I kind of view MBLAQ as an angsty group... I know MBLAQ and Beast debuted around the same time, and MBLAQ had a lot of hype as Rain's proteges but I feel like they've had difficult gaining momentum even though they've done a lot of the right steps (catchy songs, strong dances/performances, variety shows). Maybe they need to promote more? It's kind of ridiculous that kpop groups are expected to make a comeback every 3 months, though, especially because their promotions span 2-3 months anyway.

Well, liking them is indeed terribly angsty! XD A little like my poor Knicks before Jeremy Lin burst onto the scene, but not as bad, cough. And yeah, I don't know why they've had such trouble gaining recognition. Their music isn't the greatest ever, but it's good enough compared to their peers, I'd think; they're decent looking, and like you said, pretty funny in variety shows while putting on good live performances. I JUST DON'T KNOW. Maybe one of them broke a mirror or killed a spider at the wrong time. :///

Oh, MBLAQ fic, of course. ^^; Still in the throes of new fandom love; there are still some other things I want to finish (Viewfinder Feilong fic for one), but I'm riding the wave of MBLAQ inspiration for as long as it lasts. *g* SORRY IT'S JUST MORE KPOP.

I feel like I should make up something that sounds kpop fannish. Need a kpop statement generator.
