I survived Hungary and got back in one piece :-)
Got up early this morning, so I would get to the airport in time. I was all checked in and at the right gate before 7.30. Unfortunately my flight was only at 9.15 ::headdesk:: So I decided to have a really expensive breakfast. And I had a good book with me, so I did some reading. (And nope, the book still isn't finished. Almost there though)
Also, they decided that my luggage needed some extra security checking. 45 mins before take off I suddenly heard my name announced and could I please report to the gate. Very weird. Anyway, they just got me to a secured area and asked me to open my suitcase. Once they saw that the bottles inside were just wine, it was fine. I guess they wanted to make sure that the "unidentified liquids" in the suitcase wouldn't go "boom".
Which shows that Hungary has proper airline service. My brother had something similar happening to him when he was in Bulgaria last year. The only difference is that they didn't bother asking him to open his bag, they just ripped the suitcase apart and took out the drinks...
I was back on Belgian ground at about 11am and then went straight to the office - not that much work was done, but had to catch up with my colleague so we could 'change shift'. She's now on holiday.
Yllek, Steph and Anikó are now by themselves in Hungary, so I'm not taking any responsibility for any trouble they might get into now. Girls, try and stay away from the drunk Hungarians...
