Oh, fudge!
Soo...apparently I still cannot make fudge. Either that or the idea that honey can be substituted 1-1 for corn syrup is a crock. I must try it with something non-fudge.
Oh, it looked like a beautiful pan of fudge, all right. I'd even given a little decorative swirl to the top of it that stayed. It was fudge-like to the touch when I poked it. It cut a bit easily, but I didn't think anything of it, there's different textures for everything.
Then I tried to lift a piece out.
Only the top centimetre had set. The rest was still liquid. So. Now it is ice cream topping.
However, if you want a good looking pan of fudge, for you know a photo shoot or something, feel free to give me a call. Just don't expect to eat it afterwards.
