I think I've gotten used to the rhythm of this place--

[Sitting on a bench, people watching when suddenly... Something on the street catches his attention and he gets to his feet, ducking down a side alley.]

Not them again. Ah, Flynn, you might want to look out for pirates this weekend.

[A side alley, you say? Sadly, Guy, someone's occupying that spot.

When he sees an odd shape come towards him, a sudden movement in this odd place he's found himself in - different yet the same - he lets out a small, scared little squeak before he tries to get away. Being a mere hour old, though, he has no sense of balance nor does he know the proper way to "get away", so he merely falls from a sitting position to his side, eyes squeezed shut and shivering arms over his head. Maybe it'll go away - he can't see it, so it should be gone.]

[Squeaking little Luke. Oh dear. Licentious pirates forgotten, Guy kneels beside the little redhead, voice gentle.]

Hey. Luke, it's okay.

[How old is this one? He looks really young. Better get him home. It's probably a new Luke, but Luke and Asch should be able to look after him over the weekend when Guy's busy at the restaurant.]

[He doesn't even know what any of the noises that the thing made means... Though they were gentle compared to the voice he heard not long ago.

"Stay here. Don't move."

It was so forceful, so deep and scary... And he had twisted his arm while practically dragging him to the middle of the dark place. This... thing that came to him is shaped like the other one, but different.

He lets his arms drift down to look at him again. For a brief second Guy might see how his eyes are puffy with tears thanks to the man earlier making him cry so much, but he soon turns his head away as he tries to close his eyes and scoot away, letting out the quietest whimper. He's not even sure if he's the one making that noise.]

[Oh. He's that young? It's a bit of a shock, and Guy isn't sure what to do. Holding still, he only reaches one hand out very slowly. If need be he can just scoop Luke up and take him home, but... He'd rather not be rougher than necessary. He modulates his voice so it's gentle and almost a little sing-songy. Soothing.]

Hey Luke, it's okay. I'm not going to hurt you.

[What irony.]

I need to take you home though. I'm not sure you understand, but it's okay. I promise I'll look after you. So don't be scared.

[And Guy would be right in the fact that he doesn't understand. To him, the person just made a lot of noise, though it was much, much gentler than earlier. "Earlier" is all he can relate to, and it was so terrifying... For a reason that he could never understand. He had to be "traumatized" enough, you see, for it to work ( ... )

[Guy waits quietly and patiently while Luke does his thing. He has no way of knowing what Luke is thinking, but he's a little relieved that Luke reaches back. The light fall didn't look bad, so... He curls his fingers gently over Luke's after a minute, and scoots forward when Luke takes in a hiccupy breath.]

Hey.

[He places a gloved palm over Luke's scraped cheek.] I'm gonna take you home, okay? We'll put a bandaid on it, and you can meet... Haha it's complicated. We'll call them... Your older brothers.

[He very nearly pulls back and hides again when Guy scoots forward. His eyes widen, his muscles tense and his lips press together, at least. When he feels the hand on his cheek, at first he winces away and takes in another shaky, hiccuped breath. But after a moment, he slowly leans toward it again, until he can feel the fingers hover gently over his cheek again. It felt... better like that.

It was weird. This was nothing like earlier... Nothing like the sharp blue eyes and angry voice that yelled at him. This one had blue eyes too, but they were... gentle. Kind. Like he didn't have anything to be afraid of.

Though he doesn't know how to properly move forward, he does give an unsure lean towards him, then a slight scoot. It seems he doesn't mind going with him after all.]

[Good, that's a start. He gently scoops Luke into his arms, rising to his feet once he has a firm hold on the kid. Even if Luke squirms he won't get away, at this point. He's still trying to estimate how old Luke is. Days? Weeks?]

[Hours?]

It must be a lot to take in, appearing like this, huh?

[And squirm he does, because he just left the ground what even. He lets out a couple of noises of surprise and fear, then just presses himself against the nearest solid object - Guy's chest, and keeps his eyes shut and shivers. For all he knows, he's still at that castle... the cold, dirty castle with ghosts and statues with glowing eyes. Once they get closer to the light, Guy might notice that Luke's clothes are practically rags, and reminiscent of what Asch wore before he was kidnapped. As if they were purposely torn apart and stuck on him.]
