002 - [Video] Open action at the Palace!

[Count Gailardia is lounging in a very richly furnished window, dressed in a well-cut uniform, looking all... Swankified. And fancy. The opulence of the palace rooms he's standing in is only visible peripherally, as most of his focus is on the courtyard below. Beautiful gardens, a spotless white path and fountains gurgling in the sun

[And Yuri happens to be sneaking around the Palace, Sword at his hip for once as he carries a suspicious looking bag. He's rummaging! Confident enough that he doesn't care about making noise or not. If he's caught- well, let's just say he's good at getting himself out of a messy situation.

[Yep! Noticing. And you know what, his first instinct is not to confront you, Yuri! He's going to, lurk around the corner out of sight and watch this nefarious infamous thief in the reflection of one of the many expensive mirrors on the walls.]

[Is he looking for something specific, or is this just a random looting venture? He's curious. It's not as if the palace is without it's precious secrets.]

[He caught word of a precious treasure hidden within the Palace a little while ago. Right now he's looking for some kind of key, some kind of hint- anything to get to it. If it's all that precious, it must fetch a pretty penny. Enough to free the peasants from their rent and bring prosperity to them for once. Not just the rich.

He sighs, sets the bag on top of the little set of drawers he's been looking in. Then he turns.]

Aren't you a little too old to play hide and seek?

[Guy steps out from around the corner, smiling cheerfully and giving Yuri the most friendly look ever! Even if his hand is resting lightly on his sword.]

You should really pick a better target than the Palace.

I think you mean what better target than the Palace?

[He unties his sword from his belt, holding it as he usually does in game. Yes, even while AU!cursed, he will flick his sheath off like a total loser.]

So- how about you sit down and watch?

[Yuri's powers of dorky badassery are greater even than curses.]

I'm afraid I can't. It's not every day I get to meet a famous thief.

You want to sit down and have tea or something? Sorry, but I don't have the time.

I was thinking more of taking you into custody--I could probably sneak you tea in jail, if that's your thing.

[And he quickly unsheathes, flicking the blade off as usual.]

You know, I didn't became famous because I'm easy to catch.

That's the fun of it, isn't it?

[Easing one foot back, gripping the hilt. He doesn't wait for Yuri to start it, just suddenly dashes forward, drawing as he does. He's not aiming to kill but he's not playing around either.]

[He pulls his sword up to block, a smooth movement that speaks a little of grace.]

If it was a fight you wanted, you could have just asked.

[Shifting his feet under him slightly, to toss a kick in there. No, not a very gentlemanly move at all.]

Mostly a little treasure. But I can't complain about a fight along the way.

[He jumps backward! But unfortunately his back is to the set of drawers now. Aw, poo.]

Looking for treasure in the palace is the same as hunting out a fight you know.

[Well, how are you going to get yourself out of this corner Yuri? Maybe because AU!Guy is a bit less cautious and actively tries to get a sword lock with you?]

[Whoops, Yuri manages and Guy has to step back to recover, pivoting around to face Yuri.]

I guess not, but you really should learn not to take what isn't yours. Whether the owner's around to protest or not.
