sartorial skills
Several of my coworkers have a habit of wearing a tie once a week, just "because." (Something that would never happen on the West Coast, I imagine...) As one person put it, "just gotta keep people on their toes." (Sometimes, they will even suit up randomly.) Tying ties is something that a lot of men don't know how to do; I've seen even forty-year-olds keep a pre-tied tie in a briefcase or a drawer, so all they have to do is pull it over their heads, around the collar, and tighten. Is there a any parallel sartorial skill for women; something that is part of business/formal dress, but for many, done infrequently enough that it gets forgotten?
