Here we go

So I decided I needed a non bitchy/whiny entry in my LJ.
I'm getting over everything, and my friends are awesome with helping. Chelsea drove up from Concord just to spend an evening with me, which really helped. Hooray comfort food and beer! Too bad we couldn't bitch about Steven some more, but he was in the house.
Eric, a friend of mine from work, is going through the same thing (just broke up with his girlfriend of about the same amount of time) and we keep a running tab on one another.
Then of course Robyn...Robyn being Robyn (the one who took me to Vegas), makes a brilliant observation of how lucky I am to have this finally happening (because she of course shoves it in my face that I and everyone else knew all along that it wasn't going to last. I can't really say anything to that because, yea, she's right). She goes on to tell me that now I have no excuse not to go teach abroad and go to graduate school (which I had been holding off for Steven), and again, she is right. Hell I don't even have to limit my applications anymore, I could go abroad to study again! The options are endless, in an almost frightening way.
So as sucky as life is at certain moments, I have a lot to look forward to. And once all this stuff with my dad and grandfather is over I really don't have much keeping me down.
I love change, I just need to learn to embrace this new freedom and be on my way! Hooray!
Heehee, I love cliche/optimistic entries. I should write more :)

optimism, friends, school, new start, abroad
