Turko leaves America

Aug 29, 2007 08:32

So, I leave for Turkey on Friday.
Today I pack, and make sure I have everything. Tomorrow I do a whole lotta crap. Concord in the morning, Emeryville in the afternoon, and San Francisco in the evening. I know I won't have internet for the first week and a half that I'm there, and the rest of the year is up in the air. I want an apartment so I didn't make any dorm arrangements, unfortunately the program has nothing to help me find an apartment, so either I find a landlord that speaks english or I buddy up with a Turkish student to help me out. Depending on where I end up and if the place has internet or not will determine my activity on here for the rest of the year. I did get skype though! If I do happen upon an apartment with internet I will be able to chat. Check it out ;D.

Beyond that I can't think of what to say. I'm going to miss all my friends, it'll be weird not knowing anyone in the country at first. But I guess that's kinda why I went. I'm totally going to change my personality.

I'm going goth guys.

Nah, I'm just kidding. I've tried to do the whole big change thing before and it never works. I guess I'm stuck :P Anywho, I'm off. And my biggest regret? THEY DON'T HAVE SWING DANCING!! *weeps*. Kidding, kidding. They do have ballroom and badminton! So I'll get my dancing and hitting urges out while I'm over there. I'm so excited. !!! Just looked and they also have fencing. Ok, I think I'm set for the year :)

I'll see you guys in a year, unless you visit me. And if you visit and I do succeed in getting an apartment all you pay for is flight and food! Think about it. Who doesn't want to see Istanbul? :P Hopefully I'll write up again in a couple of weeks. Maybe sooner to say I made it alive if I can find an internet cafe. Tschus!

friends, turkey, goodbye, fun, leaving
