Camp Hollywood aka NJC aka Lindy Hopper's Heaven

So, this weekend was amaaaazing.
A quick breakdown because I should be working.
First,  I had to meet up with my mysterious carpool at 7pm at the San Jose Amtrak station. I'd only talked to they guy via email so I had no idea what he looked like. Once I finally ran into him (or I should say Steven ran into him) I recognized him from one of the various dance floors I frequent. After we filled up the car with more of his friends (people who I didn't know AND didn't recognize) we were off. We got to the LAX Marriott around 1am. Tired because I had been up since 4am that previous morning I elbowed my way through the swarm of dancers looking for Riccardo, the gatekeeper to my room. He led me up to our room, said there was one more roommate and left me to sleep. I was half asleep when I was startled awake by some strange guy walking into the room. His name was Ori and he was our other roommate. I'd never seen this guy in my life but at that point I was too tired to care, a few minutes later I was out.
The next couple days are a blur of dancing, eating and sleeping. The classes were amazing, although a bit too crowded, and hunting down food every day was a pain in the ass. Not only being in LA but being so close to the airport made everything pricey. The most amazing thing however were the competitions. They were packed, but the large crowd added to the excitement. And a good number of the competition winners were from the Bay Area (gotta toss in that Bay Area pride somewhere). Come to think of it there were actually a lot of Bay Area people there in general. I ran into a lot of people I recognized/kinda knew. The dancing, the people, everything was great. If I get back in time next year I might go again :)
After the camp Kristie came and picked me up and I hung out with her for a couple of days. We went to the beach and I started Harry Potter, still not finished but I got a good chunk out of it. Oooh, and Kristie is a good cook, I think what I ate at your place was the best I'd eaten all weekend. Thanks Kristie! After that I flew back and now I'm back to work. I've also started to pack my things for storage and making sure all the paperwork is in order. Time is ticking a lot faster than I would like it to. Either way;

Camp Hollywood 2007 was stupendous. =P
