Real Quick
Quick post while the iPad updates with some movies -- Seasons 1 & 2 of Merlin, and Valentine's Day, UP, and A Single Man. The latter of which is probably not the best plane movie, but just in case.
I did end up going to graduation today, and I did enjoy myself. Both my brother and my best friend showed up, the horrible girl I was dreading sitting next to was actually disturbingly nice to me, and I got to introduce my mom to two of my favorite professors.
Plus, I looked amazing in my Master's hood, and felt so proud to have earned my Master's degree!!! :)
The day was crazy hectic though -- I'm probably going to the airport on about 2 hours of sleep! -- and it ended with a stop at my ex-neighbor's daughter's wedding reception. The dad of the family started his own business -- something to do with getting jobs for military vets -- and it was a touch-and-go financially for awhile. But then they sold the business, and are literally multi-millionaires. As in, this family had to build a house because the taxes on their income would have been ridic. I can't even begin to describe the house -- its more like a mini-palace. The children -- who have all graduated college; so they don't really live at home -- don't have bedrooms -- they have suites. So the reception was at their house, and they had VALET PARKING and people who magically opened the doors as you approached. I felt like I was at a swanky Hollywood cocktail party.
But tomorrow: my first official act as a Master of English -- GOING TO SINGAPORE. Family Vacay, hurray!! (If we don't kill each other first.)
