I'm not an expert but she looks like a cross between a whippet and a dalmatian or something. About 20 lbs, maybe. White with faint/dappled black spots all over, very short coat, one white ear and one black ear, sparkly brown eyes. Very alert and intelligent-appearing.
Good luck! We ran into problems with our puppy adoption a few years back, but that was mostly because we had a baby on the way, and they didn't think we were up for simultaneous baby + puppy.
You will be posting pics once you've got the puppy, I trust? :-)
Actually we found out she was adopted out at the end of November, but was returned to the shelter by the family supposedly because she was aggressive toward another dog in that household. We don't have any other (well, mammalian, anyway) pets at our house, so that shouldn't be a problem. No babies neither :)
And oh yeah-- there will be pics aplenty. She *is* a gorgeous animal!

I prefer grown dogs to puppies. Puppies are way too overenthusiastic and hyper for me.
