Bath Time!

Sounds so lovely when I say it or other people do it, then I actually take one and I remember how much I hate them.

I reserved a Junior Suite for my business trip because it was just cheap enough to be covered by my hotel budget.  I didn't realize it was a Junior SPA Suite until I got into the room and saw the big ass tub in the middle of the sitting area.(with bubble jets and everthing!).  No wonder the lady at check-in seemed a little strange when I told her I'm by myself, she was expecting some hanky panky...OH CRAP!  I just took a bath in a tub where countless babies have no doubt been made.  Ew.  Well, at any rate, I couldn't not take a bath since that was the purpose of the suite.

Baths are supposed to be as hot as one can stand...so it was nice and steamy.  And after about 2 minutes in it, so was I excepting the nice part, just sweating and hot and starting to get uncomforable.  Glasses fogging.

Which leads to the next problem.  I wear glasses which will inevitably steam up impairing visibility of anything to entertain me to distract me from the heat.  But I try anyways.  So books get water marks or I risk electrocution and bring my laptop next to me, adding paranoia to the mix.

The last aspect of baths that bother me (that I'll write about) is that I'm essentially sitting in water that is slowly, but surely, getting dirty from me with the shedding skin cells and fallen hair that get into the water.  I obsess about these.  Granted I shower before and after, but that ick factor never goes away.

Bath = Discomfort/Boredom/Paranoia/Disgust

We'll see when I trick myself into thinking it's a good idea again.
