Yay, we have internet! Woot! No more borrowing Dad's computer. Now we're just stealing his DSL connection directly. We set the network up in the garage :)
So...met my new boss today. He seems pretty cool. Distinguished looking gentleman. Met a couple of the other assistant managers too. Can you say DYKE? I knew you could. So can these grrls. Ha.
Made an offer on a house the other day. 4 br 2 bath doublewide trailer that comes with all kinds of goodies. Real nice. Met with the realtor, who did the official offer for us. I wish I knew wtf was going on. I don't understand legalese all that well. Anyway, the realtor had us put zero dollars 'earnest money' on the offer, ok, whatever that means, fine. Then she sent us to meet with a loan officer, that's cool too, she was also really nice. So we did that, did our homework and turned in our paperwork, the loan officer said we'd hear today. We heard at like 3pm that my credit sucks ass, that the loan's been approved just under Lisa's name unless I can fix my stuff quickly, and that apparently we need to put down some earnest money. *sigh* This is already going to cost us $800 up front for a couple of inspections, and now we need to put more money down? I don't have all that much left from the move. It was a lot more expensive than we planned...oh, wait, we get money back from that yet. We should be ok.
So...that's where things stand now. I start my job tomorrow night, as do Lisa and Ang. Whee. I'm scared shitless. We'll see how it goes I guess.
