Surprises
Wow. What a day - just chock full of surprises.
On my way through the market I heard this familiar voice and "poof" outta nowhere there was Jayne and Andy and this cute little girl. I almost forgot myself and said hi to him, but at the last minute I remembered that I'm still mad at him and so I said hi to Andy instead. Andy just about peed his pants. And all I did was give him a hug and a kiss on the cheek! So anyways, he's practically hiding behind Jayne and looking at me like I'm a monster or something and we all start talking - well mostly me and Jayne - Andy and the little girl just sort of clung to Jayne and looked at me funny. Anyway, Jayne and I worked it all out. Turns out I was pissed at Jayne for absolutely no reason whatsoever - he didn't get the shirt at all. I wonder what happened to it? Oh well, whatever. I'm pretty sure he'd have tossed it anyway.
And that? Was just the smallest of the surprises in store for me. Surprise number 2? The kid is Jayne's! Now that did knock me for a loop. She's gotta be at least 8, maybe 10 years old. Turns out her mother was killed by Reavers, poor thing too bad Reavers couldn't get my bitch of a mother. But looks like Jayne's taken responsibility for her, so I guess he's a pretty good man after all.
But the BEST surprise? Jayne's sly. Or well, maybe not sly - 'cause any man who knows his way around a woman's body the way Jayne does is not sly - but he DEFINITELY walks on both sides of the street now. *giggle* I realized I never found out the kid's name and when I turned back to ask Jayne was kissing Andy! *big grin* It was the sweetest thing kinda hot too.... I never would have pegged Jayne for that type, but it was so obvious from the way they were looking at each other that this is totally serious. Of course, it makes me wonder, because the last time I saw Jayne he was all in love with River...
And then I get back to the ship and Mina and Rita tell me they hired a Companion for Hank! That? Is just too damn wicked. I wish I had been here to see his face when they told him. Bet he's in his cabin primping, trying to make himself presentable.
Well, I better go put away the rest of the stuff I got. Never did find a jacket. But I did buy this beautiful dark blue silk. I think I'm going to make myself a slinky dress.
