My inner Drink Snob/Bartender Comes out.

This is going to be cross posted to my own journal as well. I just needed to rant.

So I get home today to find in my mail box something about Midwinter. Okay Who surprised I am not.

Something kinda creative, there doing a contest to submit drink recipes winner gets in free along with a stine (which if I priced correctly are worth 20-50 bucks assuming they are glass)

What has got me all in a tizzy are the stipulations.

Common alcohol of mid shelf..okay fine I can understand this, we are gamers and poor.
Common mixers ...okay fine makes sense.

No it the has to fix into a 16 oz stine NO LARGER OR SMALLER.
AND HAS TO FIT WITH THE THEME.

Which is after I had looked it up ITS BLACK TIE. Both nights are black tie affairs.

I am sitting here twitching in my corner cause 16 oz beer stines ..okay it says specifically 16oz pint glass either way that is still not black tie. 16 oz of anything is not black tie. Most drinks including your high end beer is 12 oz maybe 13oz at best. 16oz glasses are your Frat Party glasses. Your standard Malt Whiskey glasses and Martini glasses are 8 oz at best.

I have really neat drink ideas but trying to fit my kind of fancy drink which would fix with the theme into a 16oz mug is insulting. I do not make Warp Cores or others that would put you into a coma drinks. I make the ohh these taste like dessert then you stand up and decide to sit back down again drinks.

I am just beside myself right now that I dont think I can adequately express my disappointment and disdain for the idea that I would have to stoop to frat boy drink levels on this.
