Flashback to Your Youth

I love the 80s. I was born in the 70s, but as I don't remember them I can't really comment on them. But the 80s were so wonderfully cheesy and made of sugary awesome. So I think I am going to hit everyone with occasional 80s to remind us all of how cool we had it then.

One movie that I saw repeatedly was The Neverending Story. I have never read the book on which it is (from what I hear loosely) based, but the movie was terrific. It was fantasy with a dark side, unafraid of killing characters and possibly the entire world. There were really scary creatures (that wolf was really scary to me then).

Did you know the actual title is Die Unendliche Geschichte?
Or that the original Auryn for this film now hangs in an enclosed glass display in Steven Spielberg's office?

Here's the theme:

The theme song was performed by Limahl, the lead singer from Kajagoogoo. They're known for their one-hit-wonder "Too Shy".
