I don't think I've ever came that close to crying in class

We're reading Princess by Jean Sasson and it boggles my mind that while I sit here enjoying the luxury of an online journal there are women who are treated like nothing in arabic cultures. We live like queens compared to them! I don't blame the islamic faith for the state in which these women live today, I blame the men who teach their sons to think of women as servants for their pleasure. Her brother is so cruel that he threw a puppy whom his sister had cared for weeks on end out the car of his red porsche. Oh, in case I forgot to mention, It's based on a real account by a arabian princess who refers to herself simply as Sultana because she could be killed if her government figured out it was her who told her story to Jean Sasson.
