RIP Aaron Bedard

I haven't written in this in ages. In fact I had forgotten all about it until my friend at work Katie mentioned it. I figured this was a good place to write out what is going through my mind right now. I found out today that a former high school classmate of mine was killed in a motorcycle accident last night. I guess the phrase former classmate is too distant and doesn't describe our relationship correctly. Although I haven't seen him in 8 years he was friend. We were pretty close in 10th grade and eventually drifted apart. I had the biggest crush on him that year and it was reciprocal. We used to hang out and go the movies and things of that nature. We'd be together a lot after school because both our parents worked at the town hall. We'd walk up there after school together and hang out in one of the rooms upstairs. Renee would sometimes come with us. I don't even know how it happened, I think we found a note or something from someone else, but we wrote note and all three of us signed it and stuck it up in the ceiling of the room. We always said that one day we'd go back for it. I wonder if it is still there.

Its funny because I was going through my old photos about a month ago and was wondering what he was up to. Funny how that happens. Briana said it tonight and I thought it as well...our high school class is cursed. We started out with a small graduating class as it is (78 kids) and already 4 people have died. Mark in 10th grade, Shawn our senior year, Drew last year and now Aaron. Our 10 year reunion is going to be so strange and so small in numbers.

Anyways..here is the newspaper article of the accident and one of the only pictures of Aaron that I have from 10 years ago.

BROWNFIELD, Maine -- State police are trying to figure out why two motorcycles traveling in the same direction on Route 113 in Brownfield collided Saturday night, killing one motorcyclist and injuring another.

Aaraon Bedard, 26, of Massachusetts, died in the crash. Bedard was driving a Honda CBR and the other motorcyclist, Andrew Parker, 23, of Massachusetts, was driving a Triumph.

LifeFlight of Maine took Parker to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston after the crash was reported at 6:22 p.m. Saturday. Parker was in fair condition at CMMC Sunday, a nursing supervisor said.

Bedard and Parker knew each other and were traveling as part of a group. But other motorcyclists did not see the crash and only came upon the wreckage after the collision.

Route 113 is also known as Pequawket Trail.
