National Pet Month

Apr 08, 2010 08:33

It's national pet month in Britain (not that we need an excuse to get involved with the fluffier members of our families)

I'd love to hear about your bundles of joy, be they dogs, cats, snakes or spiders:D Alternatively, what pets do your fave fandom chars have (and if they don't, what do you think they would/should have)

life, random

Aaw hun, thanks for sharing. You have some adorable pets there :D

Me? I've got a border collie, Tye, and a bengal cross, Tig.

Tye is just turned two and much bigger than breed standard. He is very affectionate and will adore completely anyone who acknowledges his presence. He has a number of amusing quirks, my fave being how he sits on the stairs (literally, perching his rear on the step just like humans do)and the couch. And he looks adorable curled up in the kitten's basket.

Well, okay, Tig isn't a kitten, but we still call him that. When we got him last summer, the last of an orphaned feral litter, he was younger than they usually leave their mothers and he was just a tiny ball of fluff. He's a furry eating machine on four legs, so he's probably a little bigger than he should be. The lady who organized their homing knows nothing about their father, so we're not sure how much bigger he's going to get, but he has the most gorgeous long, silky fur that has to have come from that side. He likes playing with his octopus and stalking my sister, and he loves finding new places in the house to set up ambushes for anyone walking by.

I love my boys and I'm going to miss them when I move up to Bristol soon.
