Yay! It's the weekend, and that means I have time off...
Anyway, I started my job at the
ROM, and basically what I do is that I catalogue photographs of the museum's artifacts into their database. For example, look at the galleries of the
MET and the British Museum's
Compass - that is what the ROM wants to build. Anyway, I work in an old sound studio (the equipment is outdated) which used to belong to the Planetarium before it closed in 1994.
Although cataloguing images may not be the most exciting thing to do, it's money. And I can say I worked for the ROM - that alone looks pretty awesome on my résumé. Plus, I really like the people here - they create an easygoing environment and are concerned about setting their interns up for the "real world". Soooo much better than the retail I have done, I must say.
