I'm going to make this short and sweet. Today I was at the
Flash in the Can festival, and I signed up for the Panic Room, which in short is a place where some top notch designers evaluate your portfolio. I had three designers evaluate my work, and for the most part, the comments I received were fairly positive.
Two of the three designers are very, very well known in the design community. Imagine receiving positive and encouraging words from
GMUNK and
Joshua Davis! You'd be like me - smiling ear to ear! If anything, it is at the very least promising to know that as a designer, I have a legitimate chance of "making it" in the real world. I'd like to believe that my education wasn't a waste of money! :P
On top of that, Humber College offered me admission into their Rich Media postgraduate program on the spot. One of the professors there happened to be a friend of an ex prof of mine and attended my
grad show. He was impressed by my work, so yay! While this is all very good news, I don't think I want to go back to school just after I've graduated from an intensive four year design program.
There are more stories than this, but they will come another time.
So many options!
So many opportunities!
I need a job. Whee.
Two more days of Flash in the Can!
