It's no secret that I love taking photos. I take far more photos than anyone ever sees, and often I am too tired to bother making a post. Here are twelve photos taken by yours truly from the twelve months of 2006. And... because I'm lazy, they are here eight days late. I've never posted these before (except the first one, obviously), so take a peak and enjoy!
January: Playing Risk on the paper that covers the table with
Sina and Shawn. Er, I can be rather territorial.
February: Notre-Dame Basilica in Montréal.
March: Found in the Design TEL labs. Sometimes it seems like most computers behave in this manner anyway.
April: On Easter, Newmindspace hosted an Easter Egg Hunt at Kensington Market. Each of the eggs contained messages inside. This is a message that my friend Lisa found in her egg. And yes, it says "drem" not "dream". I have a question though: is it everything?
May: Coco Rico is a popular Portuguese chicken restaurant located in the Plateau area of Montréal. I never actually ate there, but that's besides the point. Of all the murals and graffiti I saw in the city while I stayed there, this was my absolute favourite and I have no idea why.
June: This is Métro Square-Victoria in Montréal, steps away from where I worked. I didn't use the métro too much throughout the summer except when it rained or I had to be somewhere ASAP, as my apartment was within walking distance.
July: This was projected on one of the buildings during the Just For Laughs Festival around Boul. St-Laurent. The thing about Montréal was that festivals are seemingly more grandiose than they are here... and you know what? The arts and culture of the city are heavily embraced, so much that one can say that it reinforces the Québecoise culture.
August: These are my roomies from Montréal - Hi-sun, Sana and Tiffany. And I happen to be on the right. I had some of the best memories with them.
September: My cousin Joe got married to a wonderful lady, Karyn on September 9th. This was probably the only wedding I've ever been to where I did not hear "Here Comes the Bride"; Joe serenaded her instead with
this song. One of the sweetest things I've ever seen.
October: Teizein brought these delicious cupcakes to Shawn's Halloween party. Mmmmmmmmmm... better than Halloween candy, IMHO. This also marks the first time I've celebrated any form of Halloween in the past eight years.
November: A sight that is WAY too familiar. Moving on.
December: CARE BEAR STARE! Actually, I played a game of 1980s Trivial Pursuit with my cousins. Team Care Bear won, while my team, Team Atari (you can see the avatar in the background) only managed to earn four of the six pie slices. Fun times.
Happy new year!
