Many of you know that I went home for a variety of reasons this past weekend. At one point of my journey, I wound up in Caledonia where my aunt Mica's surprise retirement party was hosted. Of course this meant it was also a wonderful occasion for the family to get together.
Ethan is the newest addition to the family and this was my first time meeting him. For those of you who don't know, he is my cousin Tony and his wife Selena's baby. I think this munchkin will become some prodigy of some sort, but I couldn't explain why. The moral of the lesson is that cute babies get attention, right? Well, sort of.
In the meantime, my dad made jokes about how people should never stop working. My cousins were being their goofy selves. And me? Well, being me, I got camera clicky... so of course, I have some photos. Yay!
"Hello cutie!"
"OMG Auntie Monica!"
"I have a secret, Cookie Monster!"
"I have a secret too. C is for cookie, that's good enough for me! Do you have a cookie?"
This is my dad with Monica's boyfriend's dog, Frax... Dad, stop looking evil!
Meet the parental unit avec moi.
"Must... not... let that evil Janet take photos of me."
Meet Tony and John John. John John has probably had too much to drink, and is therefore probably scared about all the evil things I could do in Photoshop to him... but I'm lazy. And I think this photo is incriminating enough.
"Hey little dude!"
"Dad, what's going on?"
I rarely hold babies, nor do I have much experience taking care of them in any shape or form. I was a bit scared, afraid that Ethan would jump out of my arms and magically proclaim, "HAHA! I am Superbaby! I can run, jump and fly! Nothing can stop me!"
I'm a sucker for cuteness. There, I said it.
