Memes that are somewhat interesting.
Time for memes. I rarely do this, so I'll have a go now.
First off - comment on this entry and I will give you a letter. Write ten words beginning with that letter in your journal, including an explanation what the word means to you and why, and than pass out letters to those who want to play along.
Kirstin gave me the letter N, and a week or so later (as in now) I'm trying to figure this thing out. Alas...
1. Neglect - that is, neglecting to do the meme.
2. Nine - is a mathematically brilliant number. Did you know the digits of numbers that add up to 9 are also divisible by 9? Oh, how I miss math.
3. New Orleans - I travelled there in April 2005 in between exams, and it was one of the greatest experiences ever. Garish and gorgeous sites, sounds that ooze through the night - it's a place I miss.
4. New York - another great city. I travelled there in August of 2000 for only three days. I love walking along the streets and experiencing the fast-paced, diverse city.
5. Night - the time of day in which I am seemingly awake.
6. North By Northwest - great Hitchcock thriller. I think most of my friends have been forced at one time or another by me to watch it.
7. 'Net - all right, I'm cheating here. I can't seem to think of some words as I'm tired as hell. The 'net, short for internet, has been instrumental in educating me on random topics and a place where I've succeeded in making friends. Oh, it's also been the landscape in which I hope to base my career upon.
8. New Order - an awesome electronic group from the 1980s; it was one of the groups that established a foundation for this genre of music.
9. New Wave - one of my favourite genres.
10. (Art) Nouveau - again, I'm cheating. Anyway, some of the most beautiful artwork contained this style. Whiplash lines, curvilinear shapes, ornate designs - oh, how beautiful!
Too many of you sent this to me: Name ten of life's simple pleasures that you like most, then pick ten people to do the same. Try to be original and creative and not to use things that someone else has already used.
