The tiles are from Dupont Subway Station in Toronto. There's a lot of remarkable mosaics there. Let me show you some photos:

By the way, I look short next to anyone I stand next to. So much for being shorter than five feet. Damn it all.

ah yes, the dupont murals... and of course, the debates that go along with one of the larger ones, as to which vegetable it represents;
my money is still on turnip or radish

well, of the larger ones, one is a flower, but I'm still convinced the other one is a vegetable of some distinction, although it is yet to be determined which one

My vote is still on humongous flower... i.e. obviously NOT a vegetable.
