For Interactivity Design 2, we need to design a website that is "INTERESTING" and uses CSS on a topic assigned to each of us. With the luck of the draw, I got globalization. You see, our prof, David Gelb is the epitome of idiot since the only thing he knows how to say is "Make things interesting!" Whatever that means, but as far as I'm concerned, he doesn't want standard navigation bars. With less than 12 hours before class, I whipped out this layout in Illustrator that you see above. Why a TV, you may ask? Well, a TV broadcasts various programs from all around the world to millions of homes. It communicates information ranging from commercials to news to sitcoms; this gives the public a lens to modern culture. This in all is a prime example of globalization. The TV remote acts as navigation, and a corresponding image will show up in the screen (and text on the right side) when the user clicks on a button. Because the website is targeting high school graduates, I figured it would be easiest to communicate the idea of globalization through the ways they have access to it.
Yeah, I know the graphics are shitty, but I'm not going to advance this until David approves this idea. If I hear his nasal lisp with his trademark words as a response, I think I might scream. Maybe I'll wring his neck. I don't know. Bye now.
