Merry Xmas everyone
Haven't posted much this year even though it's been an interesting year.
My first trip abroad visiting Laurelei in England. A bunch of crazy girls driving around England. It was a fabulous time. It was a bit of a marathon and there are places I'd definitely like to go back to and spend more time. We went to Brighton, Glastonbury, York, Whitby and Edinburgh. I LOVED Scotland. I could feel the energy shift as we approached the border. Pulling into Edinburgh felt like coming home in an odd way. Glastonbury and Whitby were close runner ups. I'd definitely like to go back at some point.
A trip to Canada to visit family. Spent most of the time in Moncton, NB but also make it to Halifax. It was nice to see the family. My grandmother is really showing her age and I"m worried about her. She finally gave in and decided it was time to move into the "old folks" home. Hopefully with the monitoring she'll take her meds like she's suppose to and it'll help her out.
Was dating someone briefly towards the end of the summer. His name was Naoki. He is a Japanese man that was assigned here by his company. We were getting along really well and things were going nicely. While I was in Canada his company reassigned him back to Japan. He didn't want to go. I didn't want him to go. However there weren't really any options. Sad to seem him go.
Now I'm in TX for the holidays. My flight was 2 hours late. It's snowing and icing here so my parents couldn't pick me up due to the roads being down. So I had to scrape up a hotel room at the last minute. Found one, the hotel shuttle slid off the road into a ditch on our way to the hotel. Finally made it to the hotel, warm room and internet.
I'm thankful for all you. Hope you're all with the ones you love and having a great holiday.
