[Oh Cobra, Cobra, you fail so hard you're adorable. Like a kitten chasing a laser pointer.]
Your second story is the one I find most interesting. Not only because it involves complete modification of a being's structure, which coincides perfectly with my line of investigation, but also because it apparently gets you ranting profusely about your subordinates.
Please realize that that last thing does not speak well of you in the slightest, and *do* keep this in mind if you ever write reports to your superiors. Even if these underlings of yours betrayed you, berating them and describing them as *utterly incompetent* only makes the reader wonder why you ever had them on your payroll to begin with.
[Give him a few minutes. He has to finish throwing a tantrum before he starts texting again. And then he’ll need another couple minutes to think of a way to spin this.]
I would hardly consider a few truthful lines to be “ranting.” Mentioning the shortcomings of Mindbender, Wendigos, and Lucifer were necessary to demonstrate that the project’s failures had nothing to do with the science involved. After all, if this data is meant to aid your project, I cannot allow you to think that it failed due to poor science.
Furthermore, that was the first failure for Wendigos and Lucifer. Hardly the first failure for Mindbender, but much of that was due to leadership changes in Cobra following my betrayal. Under my rule, failure was not tolerated. This is why all ties to Lucifer were severed following the destruction of the High Frequency Weapon.
Finally, I would hope that you *do* remember that I outrank you, and if I want suggestions on how to write a report, I will ask for them.
Ah, so that is what it was? How thoughtful of you. Thank you, Commander.
Your story of betrayal has all the premises of an interesting one. Who would have the gall to overthrow an organization's very founder?
Also, out of curiosity. In what years were these operations launched?
[Of course, it's not like he's actually surprised that Cobra would have internal enemies. Gorthan just wants to get him talking. The reason? He enjoys a good story.]

Between 1984 and 1986.
And who indeed. That's why I've been much more careful with who joins my other organization.
