took a kick ass class
yesterday i spent a day as a student.
it was real fun!
took a class at a local bead shop called Dava Bead & Trade.
this place is great not just for everything they have, classes they offer, but they
also have a studio they rent out if you need to make jewelry in.
only $5/hr too.
anyways...
i took a class on how to solder & make a bezel ring from scratch.
including using a jewelry had saw to cut my own copper into my desired shapes,
used a torch to solder, did pickling baths...
fun fun fun.
here's how my ring came out in thee end.
i stayed late to use liver of sulfur on it to get it real old looking.
the stone is incredibly gorgeous!

been working on these pieces for over a month now.
just so many other projects in the middle of my verdigris making...
i will bring all these yummy things to Mexico so i will have time to make new jewelry pieces.
