I had a great weekend.
On Saturday I participated in the Rheinhessen-championships - shot-put, discus and javelin. I became 4th in shot-put and 2nd in discus and javelin. And I'm really happy about my new record in discus: 17,78m. Shot-put was fine, too: 6,71m. I have had better results last year, but I'm learning a new technique and it's not so easy to get into that. Javelin: 14,12m :-( I've thrown 17m and more in the training :-(((
In the evening I sang in 2 choirs at the 125-year-celebration of MGV Liederkranz 1883 Dietersheim. We (the "Chorwurm") got a lot of applause and encore-shouts. I also sang my Amazing Grace Solo and was asked if I had studied music or something. No :-) Just been in choirs all my life :-)
We spent the whole Sunday-afternoon in the Rheinwelle-Sauna. This time I boldly went into the 70°C Sauna (and not only 60°C) and it was fine. But I needed some cooling afterwards and swam in the outdoor pond/pool until I had a goose-skin. Funny thing. In normal pools, I freeze easily, but not if the water looks more natural. I probably expect it to be cold then.
The Rheinwelle is such a pretty site. I really love being there. I had time to relax and read and - most important - sleep ;-) I often fall asleep in the relaxing area. It's warm and cosy and... :o)
Today means back to work. My car is in the repair shop to remove the scratches. Silvio will fetch it for me. I'll have band rehearsal at 4:30pm and choir rehearsal at 8pm. Boah, I'll be so tired, tomorrow :-/
But it's going to be a short week. I'll be flying to Vienna on Wednesday and stay there until Sunday :-) *happy*
