Finally, everything went fine.
There were several people asking me how long I have stayed in the states before - my accent was all american (?)
But no, it's my very first time here.
My Prof. said it was the best presentation of this morning and I'm proud and happy :o))))

I also keep meeting people from Germany. Everyone of them keeps talking about the same topic: how on earth to tell people at home about what life is like in New Orleans. No one will ever believe us...

But after all I'm still the ignorant European who refuses to wear all sorts of plastic beads around her neck although nearly everyone here at the conference does (even my boss, who is a very serious person)
And I also refuse to stand up when Buzz Aldrin enters the room. Of course - what he and his colleagues achieved was really emportant for the united states. But still he's just a normal man.
and as long as those americans don't pay any respect to anyone and don't think it's bad manners to telephone via cellphone while another person is giving a presentation, I don't think it's bad manners not to stand up for some famous american hero.
