Yesterday I left work at 16:45 instead of 16:00 as planned. I wanted to be in Bingen at 17:00 - an hour before the competition started - and the drive takes about 50 minutes. I knew, I would be too late, of course, but I was filled up with coke and at least I wouldn't fall asleep while driving.
The sign at Wiesbaden interchange said 9 minutes delay. It actually was about 20 minutes and I arrived at the sports field at 17:50 - 10 minutes before the 100m start.
But the starter was late too - stuck in a jam - and so I had 20 minutes to warm up and measure my long jump.
I wasn't too bad. Considered that I completely missed the start and wasn't motivated to run afterwards, I was actually really fast. And long jump was a new personal record. But then the coke-doping stopped to take effects on me and I broke up shot-put after 4 tries. I was too tired.

100m: 18,08s
long jump: 3,44 (pB)
shot-put: 6,80m

record, long jump, sports, competition, 100m, driving, shot-put
