Sunday means sleeping.
Our first complete weekend. No training on Saturday. No competition on Sunday. No travelling visiting of parents. Just time, time, time.
Got up at 8 (which is late) and was tired because we had got to bed at 11ish. Silvio had come just a few minutes after me but I didn't realize it any more.
A whole morning full of nothing.
I was a bit disappointed: I had planned to finish sewing my trousers, but the only room with a table large enough for sewing is not heated yet. brrrrrrrrrr.
So: nothing. cooking. some more noodles. lovely, but not as great as the shrimps-pesto.
recipe:
boil noodles
sauce:
slice mushrooms (~300g)
cut some "dried tomatoes in oil" into small pieces
fry together in some of the tomato-oil
ad salt, garlic and maybe water, cream and/or flour
and then? No Frankfurt book fair. It was much too late for that. (and therefore no photography of some more of Frankfurt's skyline, although the weather was great)
But I still wanted to use my camera and so Silvio decided on a "little" tour through the surroundings. "just down to the Rhine and to the quarry afterwards".
We walked for nearly 4 hours. Partly alongside the river, on the main road (brrrr :-/ but it was only a few hundred metres), on some small roads in the forest and a nice direttissima route: up, up, up through the forest.
Unfortunately it was a bit late for such a walk: The sun had already moved to the other side of the valley and so I didn't have the chance to take a lot of pictures. But we collected quite a lot of chestnuts :-)))))))))) I had never seen them before. Just known them as roasted "Maroni", which you can get in winter.
hmmm. *excited* Looking forward to eating them :-)))))
We also found some mushrooms but didn't take them: There are still many in the fridge.
In the evening we watched "the last samurai".
I hate German TV.
tons and tons of advertisements.
A movie which normally lasts 150 minutes and would therefore be over at 22:30 is not over at 23:00. No.....
Couldn't watch it until the end. So I went to bed, but couldn't sleep either.
Funny. I live here for 3 months now and cannot sleep any more if there's no Silvio next to me. :-( Took my blanket out onto the couch and napped next to him until the movie was over.......
I loved the sword-fighting-techniques. Reminded me of Iai Do :-) Uaaaah. I miss my Boken ;-)
On Thursday and Friday I'll be at a "workshop" (small conference) and irks: my green trousers don't have a zipper yet. And the sewing room is ice-cold. hm. Sewed in half of the zipper by hand during the movie. Didn't see much of the pictures, but still loved it.......
Today: tired. Too little sleep. Will go home early and fetch Aline at 5 to go swimming together.
I'm looking forward to that although I'm so terribly tired that I could just fall asleep any moment.
I think I'll have coke for lunch :-)
At the moment I'm drinking tea: Genmaicha. The way,
blue_oceansong taught me to. Hmmmm. :-)
Happiness is a cup of tea.
