Random Life Stuff - I probably ramble a lot in this post.
I've been way more social lately then I'm used to. I must be getting better at it though because I didn't make any huge mistakes & people aren't angry with me. Or at least I don't know about it if they are. I'd like to think that I'm mastering my social anxieties anyways.
Also realized recently that I've been single for 3 years now. Or perhaps it was my hormones that realized this for me. Either way my minds slowly getting more & more preoccupied with my singleness condition. I know there are some guys out there that have an interest in me but the feelings are just not mutual. But Karma's paying me back because the few guys I have been interested in have not been interested in me either. Love is just one of those games that's impossible for me to win, I swear.
All the car paperwork is finally squared away. Now just waiting on my auto insurance to get their paperwork done. Soon I should be getting new auto cards etc. Unfortunately the premium on the Corolla is higher then my Neon's was. So my payments are going to go up. Boo! But hopefully the better fuel economy & not having to pay for repairs will balance that out in my favor. Also waiting for the tags from the state to arrive. At least I got to keep my plate so I don't have to memorize a new one. But I can't put the plate on til I get the tags & all that.
With the new financial responsibilities I'm going to most certainly have to move in with roommates when my current lease is up in Oct. I can cover my payments now but it'll be a lot easier to go out & have fun if I can get a bit more breathing room in my budget. Plus the learning how to live with people thing is rather useful to know. So if anyone wants or knows anybody who wants a roommate around Sept/Oct. Please let me know, yes? thanks. ^_^ I prefer to stay around the Mesa/Tempe area.
I am also considering getting a new job that pays better or at least is enjoyable to do. I like my current job but it is rather boring office work & sometimes management seems less friendly now. Still a good, stable place to work though. And my workplace is hiring within the next month if anyone wants me to refer them in. It's financial aid processing work. Let me know if your interested & get me a resume to email to my manager.
My mom's also looking for a new job. She wanted me to find her some leads in Phoenix. She's got years & years of experience in food manufacturing quality control lab tech work stuff & managerial stuff. Mostly in the dairy industry. I know there are some milk processing plants & Shamrock Foods in the area. Is there anywhere else I should be telling her to look? Does anyone know? She's qualified for most any laboratory work really.
I have an urge to go on a road trip now that I have the new car. And I do have 2 days & 5 hours of vacation time I need to use up before June 19th or I'll lose it. I know there are games on the Saturdays but I could do Sunday - Tuesday off to somewhere. Maybe to Meteor Crater! :D I've always wanted to go there. And its close enough to the Grand Canyon to go there too! IF you guys want to go or have ideas, let me know before this coming weekend so I can put the requests for time off in. If not a car trip, well I still have Southwest ticket vouches to fly somewheres. Maybe go see the ocean or something. Whee.
I saw the movie UP this past Friday. It was fantastic! I loved it so much. Everyone should go see it. I wonder if Pixar's ever going to make a bad movie, lol. But I will warn you all now, there are some sad moments in this film. Especially the beginning set up of the old man's character.
I have such an urge to watch Grave of the Fireflies now. That's a truly sad movie & I know it'll make me depressed for a little while but it's such a beautiful film. In it's depressingly sad way. Also need to get some of these people with surround sound systems in their houses to let me watch Paprika or Millennium Actress there. Those are awesome movies with incredibly awesome soundtracks. I guess I'm now in an anime movie watching kick, lol oh well.
And now, I swear, I'm officially ending this post.
