And a Happy New Year.

It's been over a week since I wrote, and Christmas has come and gone. I hope everyone had a good holiday. My family's insane so my Christmas was amusing as always (I'll elaborate in a moment), and I now have new fun things to play with over vacation.

obligatory 'What I Got for Christmas' list :
- handmade picture frames
- coffee brewer (yesssss)
- rosemary's baby (movie)
- HP:PoA (movie)
- LOTR: RoTK EE (movie)
- cd holder made of suede
- super green watch
- 2 pajama pants
- mary jane slippers
- ralph lauren towels
- mp3 player
- chocolate covered bugs**
- block of cheese**
- some money from the grandparents
- book thong
- 2 death cab for cutie cds
- lotsa smelly stuff
- lotsa lip stuff
- cigarillos**
- stogie**
- rock & pop timeline
- borders gift certificate
- a couple shirts

** These items were all given as joke gifts because my family has a deranged sense of humor. For example: this will forever be remembered as the year our Christmas tree had gas. My father set up a fart machine inside a gift bag, making it look like a present, and stuck it under the tree. He then took the little remote that set off the machine and hid it under his shirt. Later that night, when we were opening our presents the tree would let out these long, drawn out farting sounds. The farting machine was, of course, the last gift opened, and will probably be the only gift we talk about ten years from now. The gift, in case you were wondering, was for my brother-in-law Korey who was very proud of his new toy.

I used some Christmas money and bought Garden State and Chamber of Secrets yesterday too. I also got a few books with my Borders gift certificate. I'm going to spend the next two weeks learning to knit, watching movies, and reading. It's going to be awesome.

My new computer should be coming in today which means I can get back into the icon/graphic making groove fairly soon. Hopefully the new one they send me already has programs loaded on it because all of my system disks are at school.

Speaking of school and graphics... I've been seriously considering switching schools and changing my major to web/graphic design. My dad always says that if you do something you love for work, then it isn't really work at all. Web designs a good time, maybe I'll give it a shot. I certainly don't want to spend much longer at UMF because, lets face it, it's kind of just one step up from Hell on Earth. I have no idea where to go, though. An art school? A liberal arts school? Big city? Small town? In-state?

I feel like a 16 year old in High School again.

It's New Year's Eve, in case you hadn't noticed, and I still don't know exactly what I'm going to be doing. I have the option of A) going to a camp in the middle of nowhere with about 15 total strangers and being weirded out and feeling too awkward to have a good time B) going to the USM campus and being weirded out and feeling too awkward to have a good time or C) spending the evening at my sister's apartment making food, watching movies, and playing board games. Drunk.

I'm thinking option C because I am an antisocial and I rarely get the chance to spend time with my sister. Hopefully those I do know in option A won't be upset with me for choosing option C. I just want to have a good new year.

Anyways, as the Dave says "Eat, drink, and be merry". Have a good one.
