Updates

Can I just say, that there was one loose end in Grazed Knees that I was completely baffled with how to tie it up. Today, after I got my shopping splurge out of the way and looked at countless amounts of pictures from Comic Con, I decided to dedicate my day to researching - except when I got pulled into a high speed chase in Dallas on CNN. Thus, I came across a legend that helped me know where I'm going with the story. I had a vague idea before; but without solving one of the problems at hand, I've been lacking in updating because I don't know how many chapters it would take me to reveal this new information. So with my newfound excitement on seeing the end of GK near and in full glory, fully expect an update within the next couple days.

On another note, expect by the weekend a one-shot for the Dark Horse series which I feel is a really cute little tale filled with Wee!Chester goodness. The story, much like Sixes and Sevens, got a life of its own which really brings out a short ficlet that isn't like anything else I've read in the fandom before - especially with John's aghast horror of the schooling system his sons seem to be enrolled in. I'd give you a title to look out for, but I have a feeling that I'm going to change it since the title no longer fits.

There's another one-shot I'm working on for the series - a rather gutwrenching one like Achilles' Heels - but my muse gave me the idea from a saying I read but decided not to inspire me more. So I'm hoping, if the beginning sits in my Dark Horse folder long enough, staring up at me every time I open it, that I will spark inspiration. Sixes and Sevens sat unfinished in my folder for a good two weeks before I was hit with a muse. Let's hope the same happens with A Thousand Ships, of course, coming from the saying, "The face that launched a thousand ships." which is heavily affilated with Helen of Troy being the cause of the Trojan War. The story, which only is some abstract idea in my brain, really demonstrates Sam as a child and his comprehension of what his family stands for told in a way of how he twists and molds stories to make sense of his own life - which is shown briefly in the one-shot I talked about above.

Hope you're looking forward to my new additions coming to a livejournal and fanfiction site near you.
