PHONE (A):
[It's been a little while since Peter's had his
little talk with Johan Liebert. It really made him think a little more about what a hero should be. About what kind of man he should be... He sits on the front porch of his house at 946 Beulah Street, clutching the pamphlet that Crowe had given him in his hands. Should he really...? He picks up the phone and makes a public call.]
"With great power comes great responsibility." That's what my father told me. And my uncle too. All of us here... whether we want to believe it or not. We're in the same boat. We're all stuck here. Separated into houses with people we don't know. Maybe you get along with them okay. Maybe you don't. But like it or not, you're responsible for these people. You're responsible for helping them get out just as much as you are for bailing yourself out. ...I think I finally get that.
ACTION (B):
[A while later,
Peter's made his way over to the Post Office. He knows the risks, but he's got a responsibility to the people of Mayfield. He's gotta do everything he can to try and save them and send them all home, and if that means losing something in exchange for his powers... so be it.]
[He wanders out of the Post Office, clutching at his head. He... he can't remember his parents. Granted, he remembers seeing video of them when he came across those old tapes in the basement back home, but everything up to the crash... it's just a blank. Memories of playing catch with a father that wasn't his. Being held by a mother that wasn't his. Living in a house that wasn't... that wasn't... Suddenly, he loses his train of thought when he feels a familiar tingle in the back of his head... My Spider-Sense? It's really back?!]
HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONK!
[In his distracted state of mind, Peter's wandered into the middle of the road. Before the car can collide with him, though, he quickly leaps out of the way, with an almost impossible reflex. The car swerves past him, the drone driver shouting something about "Damn kids!" as Peter catches his breath. He's... he's really got it back. Anyone who's witnessed this incident unfold, feel free to run up to him and ask how he's still alive.]
ACTION (C):
[When he's caught his breath and everything, he's heading over to NIna Fortner's place on 337 Brady Lane. Knock knock.]
