I admit to feeling quite recharged after visiting home. I accomplished quite a bit of light reading, purely for pleasure, which is something I hadn't been able to do for some time. Though, as I was doing so, a few passages from the texts spoke to me.
If my life is going to mean anything, I have to live it myself.
Be careful of love. It'll twist your brain around and leave you thinking up is down and right is wrong.
And lastly, I think, the most apropos of all:
People are more difficult to work with than machines. And when you break a person, he can't be fixed.
Though, I believe it worthy of note that we certainly try to fix those we care for and love for purely selfish reasons. We want them whole and undamaged for ourselves. Yet, in the deep recesses of the heart and mind, there will always be something we could not bandage or cure.
