So I've been thinking a lot about love and words recently. And how I see people who can't bring themselves to say those (difficult? little? simple?) words.
"I love you."
I just don't get it. They're words. Not even hard words. Not words like
"We have to drop the bomb."
No, they're easy. And words don't mean anything by themselves. They have to be coupled with actions. One phrase, said without action, is interchangeable with any other. Instead of "I love you" it might as well be
"I porcupine you."
Your lover shouldn't demand to hear of your love all the time, and you shouldn't, either. Every motion should hold the silent, unspoken "I love you, I love you,
"I porcupine you."
