My brother injured his neck snowboarding en France.
He's fine though, thank heavens.
He sent me an SMS saying he had injured his neck, and i totally freaked out... I know enough people who have had spinal injuries from volunteering at the National Rehab. hosp. so i was very worried. But when i called him he had been discharged from hospital, x-rays and scans all clear... phew.

Moments of terror like that though make you really think, how everything can change in an instant. I know this from personal experience. My knee injury still affects me two years later. psychologically as well as physically. i'm more protective of my knee now, i don't run as much as i used to, i don't move as carefree when i'm climbing mountains and i'm just more careful what i get up to...

Last night i went out with OP and his bf and his friend Anna who was over visiting Dublin. I met her during the summer in Oslo so it was great to see her again. She's such a fun person. There were also 3 other of their friends, all med students too from Norway. So essentially it was 3 gayers and 5 beautiful, tall, blond norwegian hott chicks!
I got upbraided by 2 of my workmates for not calling them hehe... the irony of such beauty being wasted on me was not lost... Ha Ha... as chris would say... "Ohhhh the ironnnning"
In any case, it was fun, i felt a cold coming on though so i demurred when the entourage moved to the japanese karaoke bar...
I slept terribly
I feel like crap now
bleh
tonight i'm hibernating.
