Updates, updates, updates!

Ok, so it's been awhile since I've updated! Where do I begin? Maybe you should grab a cup of coffee or soda....I'll wait.............
Ok, while they are gone....read on! LOL!
I call myself trying to be a good sneaky little "elf".....but I just can't seem to ever pull it off! David has had this old calander that he has wanted framed for quite awhile. I figured it would make a great Christmas present so...........I took it to the frame shop and had it done, along with the one we were doing for his mom. As my luck would have it the one day off that I had to pick it up he was with me! I thought it was all going to work out...he said he wasn't feeling very well and asked if I would drive home after we picked up his mom's gift. I say...SURE....so....we get to the store (he's driving) and I got out at the door and asked him to park in a certain area. I come out of the store carrying 2 large pictures and go walking to where he should be parked....NO DAVID! Then...here he comes driving up! Yes, of COURSE he now notices that I have not 1 but 2 pics! Oh no, he couldn't of parked the car and got into the passenger seat so I could of put my packages in the trunk! See! I just can't win, but it gets even better!
So, the other thing that David has been wanting is a new recliner. Anyone that has been to our house KNOWS that this is something that he really needs! The old one was just about to fall apart! (Actually....it was!) So I decided that would also make a great gift. This is what I get for thinking! First off, does anyone out there know how BIG the box is for a recliner? Well, let me tell you, it WON'T fit into a Honda Accord! Seeing as how I bought the thing in Montgomery I used the van from work. Problem #1: It's a work van....for passengers.
Problem #2: Cars park very close in parking lots.
Problem #3: You have to take seats out to make room.
Problem #4: See #2!
Problem #5: You have to back a van out in the middle of a busy parking area & try to get the seats out, load a HUGE HEAVY box and then find room for the extra seat!
Ok, so accomplished all of the above. Luckily, the hubby is out of town for a few days.....now......sneak the darn thing home!
That sounds MUCH easier than it was.......I have to take someone with me to help unload the darn thing. That's where Izzy comes in.....thank heaven for her! We are just riding along....talking....enjoying the beautiful autumn day.....and we notice this little white car in the fast lane. There is the big old 18 wheeler on his tail! The little car keeps slowing down and if possible the big truck gets closer and closer! All of a sudden Izzy yells out....OH NO! HE'S GOING TO HIT HIM!!!!!!! I'm watching the whole thing and trying to figure out what to do! Of course I start to slow down.....then notice smoke from the 18's tires and watch him come over into my lane!!!!!!! I'm hitting brakes like crazy, the 18 sees me...doesn't know where to go.......back and forth...one lane then the next! I hit the brakes again and......BAM~~~~~~BAM....Yep....I'm hit from behind (AGAIN!) but this time.....it's a DUMP TRUCK!!!!!!!! The little white car is fine.....he was making a U turn in the middle of the freaking interstate......the 18 is fine (probably had to change his pants though!), the dump truck floors it and speeds off.....and me......I'm left with a fist size dent in the van! When I got out and looked I couldn't believe it. I was expecting to see such a mess.....I can't tell you how thankful I am! But at the same time......I'm really considering giving up on driving!!!!! I can't take much more! Ok, so....on with the story......we finally get the thing home.......unload it into the house.....and now....where does one hide a box that seems to be almost as big as a room? Let me tell you.......ONE DOESM'T!!!!! I don't know why....but I wrapped it up. As soon as David got home and saw the box he knew what it was. Long story short....I gave him both of his Christmas presents yesterday. I figure why even try to surprise him! LOL! I give up!
Work is still work...but maybe worse! Amy is pregnant....which...if anyone knows anything about a pregnant woman's hormones makes for some very unpleasant times! She's so mooody you never know what to say or do. I'm dreading tomorrow. I have to cut her back to 40 hours a week.....she'll probably quit. Got a big conference call with the boss (the whole office) and he'll be going over that one. I had to make up the schedule and fax it to him.....I'm wishing I could be in B'ham for that conversation instead of Montgomery!
We are all wishing the Flowers account would just go away! They are the biggest pain in the butt! We are working ourselves to death for no profit! The bad part is though if we lose them....I'd have to let people go......oh well.....just a day in my life!
As you know David and I are still planning to move back to Maryland. I got the shock of my life the other day. My daughter called me and asked if David and I would like to buy a house with her and Steve for all of us to live in. We'll have to see how this one turns out!
Well, my little fingers are all typed out for now.....stay off the roads.....you NEVER know when I might be on them!
love to all......
