Long time.....no thoughts.....
I know....I've been neglecting my lj for awhile now. I'm sorry...just haven't had to much to say I guess. It's been the same old routine day after day.....gets to be pretty boring to live it sometimes let alone have to read it here.
Well, I can't believe it....we have ANOTHER dog! This one is David's doings too. He got to the point that he couldn't stand it another day......the neighbors had a dog in a small pen....if that wasn't bad enough they kept him on a leash inside of the pen! He couldn't move around very much....was just laying there day after day. David walked over to see him and he had about 2 inches of green slimy water and a bowl of rocks for food! I won't even mention that he didn't have a dog house...just a tarp over the pen! Well, it got the best of David and he offered to buy the dog. It took about 2 seconds for them to decide they would rather have the money then the dog....so....he's ours! I'm happy for the poor dog....but...I really didn't feel the need for another pet! Anyone out there looking for a nice dog? Please? This should be an interesting night....his first night inside! I just hope they don't get ANOTHER one and put in that pen!
Work is still going well. Finally making some headway on the old past due invoices. Starting to fall into a daily routine around there. I just hope it continues to go as it has. Feeling most days that I was able to accomplish my goals for the day.
We had company for the 4th of July. My son, Bill and his girlfriend Kristen came down! It was lots of fun. We went to the IMAX to see the Nascar movie, the Civil Rights Museum (I had never been there before...I really enjoyed that!), we bought lots of fireworks and set them off. Thank God it rained right before we did that! I was a lot more at ease! It was great though. Oh yeah....we did have a moment of excitement.....we were on our way home from the IMAX and stopped at a redlight......some fool never hit the brakes and slammed into the back of Bill's truck!!!! Wow! What a rush! We were all a little sore...but ok. It didn't even hurt Bill's truck thanks to the huge trailer hitch he has on the back! The guys van got tore up though! Guess it serves him right!
Our lives continue to be blessed. I guess we are finally living right. It really is a joy now. I don't even know how to explain it really. It's just....real peaceful I guess. A feeling of serenity.
I hear that Kaya (the 4 year old grand) has a play Barbie cell phone and got a call from Ken.....it seems they have a "date" planned...dinner, dancing.....real late night.....so she told her mom that since it was going to be so late that she was just going to stay at the hotel with him for the night!!!! LOL! When Amber told her NO WAY....her reply....BUT MOM.....ALL MY FRIENDS CAN DO IT!!!!! I pity Amber....she's already getting that at 4 years of age! Long story short in case you were wondering.....Kaya was allowed to go IF all her chores were done....but she couldn't spend the night! LOL! That satisfied her. Hope you all enjoyed that one as much as I did when I heard it....there was lots more...I just gave you the hilights.
Oh yeah....the girls (Kaya & Kaleigh) have also started the "she's touching me" when in the car!
One more cute story....Amber heard Mason just screaming.....which is unusal because he's such a good baby.....so she went in to check on him and there was Kaleigh....messing with him....Amber asked her what she was doing to him.....her reply...."braiding his hair mommy!" Now, this is funny first of all because poor Mason HAS NO HAIR, second because he is a boy, and last because she has no idea how to braid! She was just twisting and pulling......again....poor baby boy needs to get mobile quickly so he can get away from those girls!
Ok, that about does it.....I have nothing else left.....I'll try to update more often as time allows!
One special mention....even though you don't know him.....keep Mr. Moore in your prayers.....he's very ill.....and suffering from cancer. He's the father of a friend of mine.
