(singing) Monday, Monday.....how I hate that day......
Now, I know that every job has certain days that just suck.....but for me.....it's Monday. I went in at 6:30 a.m. today....just so I wouldn't get behind. I still didn't get out until 6 p.m. tonight! The worst part is that it was because of the Montgomery office! It's like they have no sense of urgency! I hurry up and wait on them most of the time. Today I had to wait for 3 hours until they finally got me the paperwork I needed....and then they still weren't finished. I have to go in tomorrow and finish all my Monday work. On Friday, I called them at 8:30 a.m. and told them I needed some papers faxed up to me that I had to send off.....I called them again at 11 a.m. to remind them that I would be leaving at 1 and to please fax me the papers. I was told they already had the copies and would be sending them up.......so.....at 1 p.m. when I was getting ready to leave for the day....I called them AGAIN!!!!! Finally they sent what I needed! Which of course meant that I had to stay later to fill out the parts that I needed to fill in...and then fax them off. I just don't get it. I do know that the owner was not real happy with them today.....sounds like another trip down there to me....glad I work up here! LOL! Anyway....enough about that....the job is going well and I'm still learning lots of stuff....so...I'm pretty happy most of the time!
I just wish I could say the same for David. His job has him working so much....he's putting in 16-18 hour days. I don't think he's going to stay there long. He's pretty fed up with it already. I told him to do what he needs to do. I'll support his decision. I want what is best for him. As it is now he doesn't have time for anything. If he is at home he's asleep or getting up to go to work. I think he might go back with the temp agency. At least there he had some personal time or "home time" so to speak. It will all work out though. I know this to be true.
Not much else going on around here. Worked my butt off (I wish!) this weekend. I cleaned the house (even dusted!), did the laundry, the groceries AND cut the grass. Yep, I was tired! But at least I had that great feeling of accomplishment when I was finished. I even cooked dinner! Shoot, I had to go back to work today just so I could rest up! LOL!
We had some bad storms roll through here this morning....woke me and the dogs up...AT 4:30 a.m.! Now you guys really know why I was able to get to work so early this morning! I guess we were pretty lucky though. The storms had some pretty strong straight line winds with it....blew trees down and knocked out electricity in the Hoover area. Everything is fine around here though. I even heard that there might of been a tornado in the Huntsville area!
Well, I guess I've been going on long enough....I better "hit the showers" cause tomorrow is another work day!
