a little awkward story
so, the other day I was late for the bus to the university. how unusual for me (not)
I was almost to the end of the block where the bus stop was and there was already a 40-something year old guy there. he looked like he wanted to say something to me, but didn't right away. when I stopped alongside him, he saw that I was also waiting for the bus so he turned to me but didn't say anything.
I kind of looked awkwardly around for a little.
then he said, and keep in mind he was a complete stranger: "did you get a haircut?"
my eyes just kind of bulged and I said, "um..."
he continued, "because it looks different than last month. I've seen you on the bus a couple times."
he continued, somewhat flirtatiously, "you know, this is my late-for-work bus."
I was thinking "yeah, you missed the bus alright because someone shoulda come and picked you up by now"
well that's my awkward story for today.
